Yeah it sure is a good new year. And yesterday the city thanked me for all the money they steal from me and all the BS I have to put up with while driving a cab by giving me THREE yellow tickets for simply driving around another cab that was dropping off a passenger and making a right turn down Broadway. Improper right turn, unsafe lane change (how being that no cars were behind me and I did signal) and driving in a buslane for about 3 feet after making the turn because my passenger wanted to get off on the right side..Maybe someone on this website can answer for me: When is the last time you seen an MTA bus driver get a ticket? For me I’ve never seen it despite the fact that on 3 occasions an MTA bus purposely hit my cab and drove off and one time actually pushing my yellow cab with the bumper of the bus while I was dropping off a passenger. I’m curious what the ACLU will say about all this because to me this nonsense goes on strictly because of bias by the city of New York because most taxi drivers are immigrants.

Hard to believe that NYC cabbies have been further TROD ON when there was nothing left of them, medallion pick-up rights have been double sold. Unbelievable. Once Bloombreg became Mayor of NYC, the cabbies became his recreational playground, and environment in which to “play the market.” Cabbies are expendable. Owner and driver medallion rights have been double-sold. Unbelievable, and you can’t get this manipulator out of the mayorship. He won’t get out.

Sorry, my time is more important than “awaiting moderation.”

On this website if a visitor reserves a cab, who is the cab driver?

to Big Froggie; It could be any cabdriver with the perfectly clean cab.

Some of you who want educational opportunity but think no time or money for that. I like to introduce you affordable distant learning which is not free but affordable and you can study at home or wherever and whenever online or by mail. There could be many schools and institutes but one I know is http://www.scitraining/courses_by_category.htm from Stratford Career Institute. Tuition is about $1,000 and you can pay monthly around $40 with $20 downpayment without interest. No qualification asked and no set time to complete.
1> Work related: auto mechanics, English as second language, high school diploma if you are foreign born
2> other interests: accounting, business mgmt., pc repair, cooking/catering, electician, plumbing, paralegal, security, dental/medical/veterinarian assistant, etc.
*If you have some college background, you can even take MIT courses free but no credit though. http://ocw.mit.edu/courses You may be interested in the course of urban transportation planning from civil and environmental engineering. Good luck.
