Starting on November 3, 2008, accessible taxicabs will receive priority when being dispatched at JFK Airport. The Port Authority of NY and NJ will sponsor this pilot program as an incentive to encourage taxicab drivers to provide service to people with disabilities.
Accessible taxicabs must have the new, blue accessible logo on the front hood of their cars to
participate in this program. For more information on the logo, please visit the TLC website at

I refuse to colaborate with the City or with the TLC since neither of them colaborate with me or make my working conditions easier. I had four traffic tickets and one TLC just this year alone. The police are on us, the TLC are on us and We do not have the legal freedom to talk on the phone with our family or to other drivers in the job. I will never drive those cars. My company where I do work, my garage, does not help me in anything when I do have tickets. I have to look for my own lawyer. In any case I get help from my union, the Taxi Workers Alliance. I can find a lawyer for less money. In response to the TLC and the City I will never drive one of these accesible car or colaborate with them in any program. Specially with this commissioner or this mayor.
