A brawl between a cabbie and pedicab driver was caught on tape Monday by a local Fox 5 news crew.
While out shooting for a story on the rising value of New York City taxi medallions, photojournalist Al Daughtry stumbled upon the altercation right in front of the Ed Sullivan Theater where David Letterman films the Late Show.
Luckily reporter Reid Lamberty and a camera man from Entertainment Tonight, who happened to be doing a segment on the Letterman sex scandal, were there to step in before it got too ugly.

Other than good video, does worth it? Let us know what would you do a situation like this?
I would never have gotten out of my taxi. Just because the pedicab driver was an idiot is no reason to get into the trouble that the taxi driver may still be in. Eventually the pedi cabs will be seen for the menace they are, licensed or not, and be removed from the streets.
I couldn’t help it ! (joking) That is SO annoying when people throw coffee cups at you!

That video was hilarious, but…..there didn’t seem to be any real damage to the exterior of his cab, and all that bulls**t wasted too much time. At the end of the day, TIME IS MONEY!! There is no way I would have went through all that.
that was crazy, and that guy deserve what happen to him
He kept calling that bicycle ” His Cab”. That was really funny. They are a menace to this city and will be recognized as such when finally somebody dies on them, unfortunately.
its very easy to say just to keep your cool but when its happend in real some time its hard to controll your self in a sitiation like that being a cab driver there is nothing you can do other than what he did. question is what would you do in situation like that and the answer is depend how much i am strees out that day.you are stress out there and shit happend but i guess we should always let it go even its some one else fault .and law says you cant come out of your cab so you are guilty any way.
as a cab driver i am very proud of ur action and i am glad u called NYPD and ur action. i hope this type of incident won’t happen 2 u or any other cab driver……all drivers be safe and be polite to ur fellow cab drivers………best of luck to all…..bilal
