YellowCabNYC is my favorite website! Furthermore, I am thinking about an online radio program for cabdrivers …

Was this “yellowcabnyc.com” Taxi Top ad successful? Are you kidding Charles? Nothing empowers NYC cabdrivers, except few ones! They are wasting all their energy on searching fares. They love talking on cell phones, but understanding the power of the internet use takes time. Those cabbies who visited this website, they love it! It so, THUMBS UP!

To Willie g. They understood the math, what is there to say? They either use it to fight the TLC or they forget it. It is there for them to use, and it is there for the TLC to embarrass themselves by reading it. It is there for history. If you couldn’t use it, Willie g, I am sorry. 1 bad cabbie out of 11 million rides in 2 weeks and the new commissioner is pleased he found it out. Capish? What is there to say? The math says it all. Do the Verifone Transportation people own medallions? Do the CMT people own medallions? Are private drivers going broke and CMT and VTS buying medallions? Just asking. If it bores you, Willie g., just skip it.

To RadioFree Taxi: It is a joke in the cab business that it is hard to bring a lawsuit against the TLC because the cabbie in the middle of testifying spots someone out the window standing by his cab, and he says . . . . excuse me . . . . . and runs out the door, for that $8 job!!!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha. It was my idea that plenty of the cabbies are immigrants from plenty of other countries, and they have computers and use them to connect with their relatives over there. Lots of cabbies are internet friendly. But not interested in fighting anything against the regulators because they have never won. Also, any cabbie fighting against the regulators can easily have his “rental cab” taken away, even though that is a violation of the rules. Their usual cab will be broken down, not available, you name it. That is why the cabbies do not stick their heads very high above the radar.

To Willie g. I forgot to mention above, if the cabbie in the middle of testifying spots someone out the window standing by his cab WHO HAS A SUITCASE, the cabbie forgets to say excuse me, and dives right out the window!! P.S. Willie g. No one needs to respond to my posts, they need to take action against the TLC. When President Obama speaks, do you need to respond to him? And if you don’t, must he cease speaking?

To the commenter who said he saw a cab giving an airport dispatcher cash, what has happened to the notice that 6 cab dispatchers at JFK have been indicted? Has that fallen through the cracks? Who is following up on it?
If you have seen the same thing going on still, maybe the TLC will read your comment and set up another STING. This is MORE WORTHWHILE than finding one passenger in 11 million rides who spotted the suburban fare while still in NYC. Will the NY courts have enough room to fit all the airport cab dispatchers in it? What about the NY prisons?

No it was a huge waste of money

A huge waste of money, you mean that was whistling dixie when the six names were listed by the state of New York as indicted, and faced up to 2 years in jail? Is it all over? Did they get sentenced?
