Seven people were hospitalized, one in serious condition, after a taxi jumped the curb on an Upper West Side street and plowed into a pizzeria, police said.
The victims included both pedestrians on the street and diners inside Mama’s Pizzeria, they said.
There was no immediate explanation of what caused the cab to jump the curb shortly after 4 p.m. at Amsterdam Avenue and West 107th Street. No summonses were issued immediately.
A witness, Chelsea Gabbert, said she saw two people pinned by the taxi.
Authorities said one person was listed in serious condition at Harlem Hospital. Two were reported in stable condition and four other with minor injuries at St. Luke’s Hospital.

Did this driver worked more than 9 hours? Did he speed or run the red light?
Does he have L-shape partition or dirty windshield? Was he on the mobile phone?

What about if the driver tried to avoid some pedestrian or some reckler driver, or maybe the garage didnt do the correct maintenance to this car and the driver lost the control. when u involve in a crash u think u didnt have the faith. why you fucking RadioFreeTaxi sends those questions ?

No one wants to hurt people When you are on a road Accident happens as it happens in Air planes and other accidents so STOP putting the cab drivers on the bad side. I think cabbies are the one who moves the city not the MTA who gets 39 dollor per hour to drive the bus twice a day and they get away from all the tickets and reckless driving. God Bless NYC and NYC taxies.

before they put this new taxi to work better if they drive 24/7 in manhattan for at least 6 month. if survive this torture it is good for taxi of yomorrow.
